Ideal temperature: Room temperature, max. 25°C. Humidity max. 70%
Make sure you have enough options to climb, because getting up by themselves is difficult. People may die after a couple of hours on their back!
Ideal breeding substrate: Flake Soil. Make sure that the minimum height is 25cm so the female can lay eggs. Additionally the box should have a minimum capacity of 15l for the flake soil + room to crawl and feed. The larvae need wood logs to build their pupal chamber. Also for the egg laying make sure you dig in m to xl sized medium or soft decayed logs. Female lay their eggs into the logs.

Male size (62mm) - large size
Hardwood from oak or beech, hard decayed. May also be a piece of a bigger log. See photos!
